With over 25 years of experience as an Art Therapist in inpatient and outpatient settings and private practice, I started Clinical Supervision for art therapists in 2007. My work focuses on art therapy as depth psychology, process-oriented, accessing, witnessing, and holding feelings, conflicts, and ideas of self. Art Therapy allows us in and through when words are not enough.

During my graduate work at Lesley College I had the good fortune of working with Dr. Shaun McNiff, Paolo Knill, Dr. Suzanne Canner-Hume, and Dr. Thomas Moore, integrating depth psychology, archetypal psychology with art and expressive therapy. I deepened my knowledge and trust in the image and its capacity to hold, inform, and transform. Following my graduate work at Lesley College I worked in supervisory capacity with Dr. Myra Levick and trained to utilize and teach the Levick Emotional and Cognitive Art Therapy Assessment. Likewise, I have expertise with The Rawley Silver Draw-a-Story. Utilizing art based assessment is a passion and a key part of my practice and of my supervision approach. I encourage supervisees to ground their practice in an art based assessment of their choosing, to explore their relationship with and response to the image, to trust the process and the image, and to develop their clinical and professional identity.
